Motorhome for Hire: What Do Motorhome Classes Mean?

Article by Allan Poole

Are you looking for a motorhome for hire? When you browse different websites to find a motorhome for hire, you will encounter such terms as “Class A,” “Class C,” and at times “Class B.” What do these terms mean?

These terms – Class A, Class C and Class B – refer to the size and build of the motorhome rental vehicle. So, before you go hiring a campervan, you need to understand what these terms mean so that you can get the right motorhome for hire that is perfect for your campervan holiday.

Class A Motorhomes

Class A motorhomes are very large motorhomes that were built on the chassis of commercial trucks or buses. In a Class A motorhome, the driver’s cab is connected seamlessly to the living area of the motorhome so that anyone sitting beside the driver can access the living area even when the motorhome is moving. A converted bus is also considered to be a Class A motorhome.

A motorhome hire in Wales using a vehicle that is in the Class A category is guaranteed to be big and with enough room for storage. The roominess makes this kind of motorhome ideal for long driving holidays. The problem with this type of motorhome for hire, on the other hand, is that it can be difficult to manoeuvre on narrow or winding roads.

Class C Motorhomes

Class C motorhomes are also built on the chassis of commercial trucks, just like a Class A motorhome. The big difference between a Class C motorhome and a Class A motorhome is that the Class C type often has a sleeping compartment over the driver’s cab.

A typical traveller hiring a campervan often goes for the Class C type because the kind of chassis it has makes it easier to manoeuvre on the road no matter how narrow or winding the road is. Before, Class A motorhomes are favoured for being bigger and for having more room, but Class C campervans are now catching up with these features.

Class B Motorhomes

Class B motorhomes are generally smaller than their Class A or Class C cousins. There is no exact definition of what a Class B campervan really is aside from this fact. It can be a van or a minibus where the back area is converted into a living space. It can also be a simple truck with tents or pull-out bunks in the back.

Because of the size and limitations of a Class B motorhome, it is not really seen favourably by travellers who want to have their creature comforts even when they are on the road. However, travellers who do not mind rough accommodations on their journey would not hesitate hiring a campervan or taking a motorhome hire in Wales in remote areas.

When you are searching for the right motorhome for hire, it is important for you to understand what the classes of motorhomes are and what makes them different from each other. This knowledge will help you decide which motorhome is most suited for your needs whilst travelling – also check on the different driving licence requirements too.

buying a 5th wheel hitch for towing my camper?

Question by fletcher: buying a 5th wheel hitch for towing my camper?
we bought a 1987 28′ camp ind. trailseeker 5th wheel camper that we now need to move. we have a ’06 F150 4×4…i need to know if there is a way to find out how much the camper weighs, what kind 5th hitch we need to buy and how well my truck is going to pull it?

Best answer:

Answer by just_c0wb0y
an 87 might be heavy even if it is only 28ft , and a half ton is a light weight truck , 4 wheel drive or not , i think you are going to run into over heating problems if you pull long distance or up hill , also depending on what transmission is in the truck that could very well over heat and put too much strain on it , best to take the truck to an rv dealer and let them do what needs to be done to make sure you do not tear your truck up

Truck Campers are Best Choice

Article by Ned Parker

Truck Campers are different from Travel Trailers and Toy Haulers. They are much smaller and compact in the sense that they perfectly fit the shape of a truck and use the space above the truck too as part of the its design. Toy haulers have an inclined stair surface for loading and unloading vehicles as that is their primary purpose. Trailers are big and usually need very powerful machine to drive and tow them and cost a lot. They are smaller and are easily towed by all kinds of trucks. People who do not need to travel very long can find that driving a car or a truck with a camper attachment is so much simpler than driving one with a trailer attachment. You can go faster and maneuver turns very easily.

Of course campers are a little smaller as they are purchased by smaller families and couples who do not need too much space and would prefer to travel light. They cost less and less fuel is burnt in towing them. Still, truck campers of varying sizes too are available and you can have a truck camper that is large enough to handle bigger groups as well.

For long road trips it is uncomfortable to sleep in the back of the truck and it is very dangerous to travel without adequate rest. Hence they are a great way to ensure that proper rest is provided. If 2 drivers are driving then one can rest very well and then take over when it is time for the other driver to rest. This way you can travel nonstop in the most comfortable way possible.

A truck camper is an excellent adventure ride. There’s nothing like moving in your own big space. It has all the benefits of a car mixed with the benefits of your own moving room. Truck campers with rooms along, and then with rooms and kitchens, and then with bedroom, kitchen and also toilets are available for you to choose from. There is a huge range of truck campers for sale and you are sure to find one that matches your needs and budget perfectly.

They are not like travel trailers and they are they cannot be inhabited as permanent moving quarters. They are great for short or long road trips for a small group of people. They are less baggage and they still provide you with the comfort you need.

Steel and wood is used in making the frame of truck campers and fiberglass or aluminum sheet metal is used for the outer surface. The used campers for sale can handle all weather conditions and even off road conditions. Because they are small they are also very stable in travel and one can drive at comparatively higher speeds in these RVs as compared to the other bigger RVs.

The truck campers for sale today can be easily detached and parked at camps for a small fee if you want to travel up a hill fast. You can travel up a hill in a truck camper attachment too but with slower speeds. The detachment and attachment of the truck camper to the truck is very easy and even 1 person alone can handle it.

Using marketing calendars can help you get your RV park and campground business on track. Calendars can give you the benefits of retention by repetition because your prospective clients get to see your brand every time they look at your calendars. For your clients who are working professionals or executives, desk calendars would be the best choice. These people will see your calendars every time they are working and would remember your business when there’s too much pressure at work and they need to unwind.

Wholesale calendar printing for desk calendars as promotional gifts is a great campaign strategy. You can have discounts for printing in bulk and you can distribute more prints to more people. Since they are used as a promotional printing material, it is a good step of instilling a positive feeling towards your business. Not all calendar marketing efforts, though, are successful. And there are reasons why some marketers fail to generate good results. Here are tips for you to avoid mishaps:

Tips to Maximize Calendar Marketing for Your RV Park and Campground

Make sure to market to the right audience. Don’t waste your desk calendars by handing them to the wrong people. People who don’t find the outdoors as enjoyable as partying will not find your calendars enticing, no matter how you design them. You don’t want to waste money by giving your prints to people who are not even thinking about spending a night in campgrounds. In this case, you need to define your prospects before handing out your prints. Better yet, hand your calendars to your guests and ask them to give some copies to their friends who might be interested.

Calendars don’t have to be all numbers, days and months. Use your imagination and be creative when designing your prints. Use cool photos for each page of your prints. You can use photos of various camping activities and different outdoor sceneries. You can also include photos of your RV parks with RVs parked and guests that are enjoying themselves. One great idea is to use photos that will match each month. For example, photo or white water rafting on February for couples on Valentine’s Day.

Use desk calendar as an opportunity to promote your business. Don’t just remind your prospective clients of the numbers to call or the address to go to when they want to enjoy the outdoors. Tell them why they should choose your RV Park and campgrounds and what benefits you can offer them.

Wholesale calendar printing may have save you some money but not knowing the right things to do may just lead you to wasting all your efforts and marketing budget. Make sure you avoid the pitfalls; you can use the tips above.
